MiniMap was an application I developed as part of my Dissertation project investigating ‘The Provision of Minimal Information for Supporting Navigation’.
The application was designed as an interactive aid to support pedestrian navigation around Newcastle University. With minimalist principles at the core of the design process, the application worked on the basis of providing the minimal amount of landmark waypoints to guide the user.
The user interface was optimised for single input control to allow it to feature as a static information display on site or as a downloadable app for use on mobile devices.
The project received a First Class Honor.
